From the darkest mist of the land, there came a strange form that carried a large aura about its person...Everything on its being had been smothered in darkness, which concealed every ounce of its frame from the light, save for the eyes, which seemed to glow a lavender color as its brightness seemed to eat away the very mist that had moved about its frame, seeming to stick around it with every step.
Upon reaching the end of the mist, the first thing that would be made out was a long object, that had seemed to have been shaped in the form of a pole with a circle at the top...At a closer look, one would come to notice that the circle had a total of six rings that hung from it, slapping and clanging against one another, which warned the small sentient beings that he, The Dark One, was coming, and signaled them to move out of his way so that they would not be crushed. The next thing that would be seen was the figure's black gloved hand, which gripped the spine of the staff tightly.
From there, one would notice, as the figure fully stepped free of the mist, that this...thing...stood at a height of six feet and two inches, and had ben dressed in a long black cloak that had come to surround every inch of his person, save for the hand that had moved through the part of the cloak in order to puss the staff, known as Khakkhara through the mist first. Beneath the cloak, was the Knight of Death's normal attire: his sleeveless shirt, which had been covered by a thick black vest--one that held many pockets. Around his legs had been dark pants, which varied between a shade of black and gray; the clothing, itself, was baggy and hung loosely around the Kage's body. But, as far as anyone could tell, that was all that this male had on his person, even as they found themselves able to catch a glimpse of his clothing when he took his steps forward.
He'd quickly find that his footing took him in an unknown direction, and he was completely find with this...After all, life was the unknowing itself. One could never know what would happen to them within the year, within the month, within the hour, within the second. Truth is, every man was fighting for the next second to live, should they come to believe it or not. This thought, alone, made the male chuckle.
His right, free, hand came up and he moved to curl the gloved slim digits around the fabric that had been his hood; however, he decided against it at the last moment and dropped his hand, deciding that he wished to have his identity remain unknown to those who did not know him well, which was most people. After all, the male had gone through so much to keep his physical appearance away from those who he did not deem worthy enough to rest their eyes upon his physical flesh, which would have long been forgotten by the eyes of those who so happened to have known him.
Even so, it was clear to tell who he was, and that was none other than the Mizukage. How could it be so easy to tell that it was him? Simply put, even though he had not been in the traditional clothing for the Mizukage, the male still wore his own symbol, which was well known through his village, and possibly by those who had crossed him a long time ago, back when he was much younger, yet still sketchy about how he looked.
Around the male's body was the symbol that had claimed almost everything he had owned within his twenty two years of life. And, what was it that danced its way across the male's body? Why, it was none other than the white and black dragon that seemed to have a tornado trapped between the two in their might clash. Each of their tails moved to cross over one another while the elements broke off their frames, almost as if their might war had created such magnificent pieces.
From there, the male's lips pressed together, only to have relaxed a few second after so he should slip his pink tongue through the part, which allowed him to wet his lips. Swallowing soon after, he said, "Well, today is rather silent..." The first spoken words of the day seemed to echo through the land, or at least, through the Mizukage's mind it did. Shrugging his shoulder, he'd glance around, noticing that none other had been in the vicinity...Perhaps that would explain why it was so silent?
Well, soon enough, the silence was definitely broken, within the male's mind, for the one who had been closes to the Mizukage had spoken out to him in a rather calm tone [ Is this what you have succumbed to? Speaking to yourself, Akio? ] This, of course, causes the male to laugh and respond with, "Well, I was hoping someone was within range to hear. After all, you never know who's out there waiting for you, my friend. Shall we simply explore and see what we can find?" From there, Gyūki said nothing, and, knowing his friend well, he said, "I'll take that as a yes." And then he proceeded to glide forward, allowing his footing to silently press against the ground. Clop Clop Clop... Loud, skittering footsteps, the soft, quiet giggle of what sounded like a small girl could easily be heard in the heavy mist. It was so fun to play when it was like this; no one could see, but that was what made the game fun. Snap! Oh, that was loud. The reckless child froze in place, pink eyes, big and bright, darting about to make out any unfamiliar shapes; ears straining to hear anything besides her own ragged breathing. Her white hair, shining in comparison to the gray mist, fluttered into her eyes and brushed against flushed cheeks.
What was a child doing out with no one else there in the middle of this misty area? There it is! A firefly, blind as the child, though still flashing, attracted the once frozen girl, who immediately chased after it. Clop Clop Clop... Once more those footsteps rang out, letting anyone listening know she was there. She stopped, jumping high to catch the fleeing insect. Her feet left the ground, sending her high-- almost flying! Only that is how it felt. The child hit the ground quicker than she thought, and without her prize. Her rump met the hard ground, sending her into a daze. She closed her eyes and giggled; she was unhurt and still ready to go.
Her sensitive ears picked up on an unfamiliar sound... Clang Clang Clang.. What a noise that was! Certainly not one she had been hearing. Who was that? Did she hear talking? She couldn't be found! She wasn't allowed here! Eighty-two pounds of body were easily lifted from the ground by arms as she sprang up in a very graceful manner, a manner most children were too uncoordinated to muster. The sound echoed not only in her head, but in the area itself. Was this due to the fog? The small child urged herself to be silent as she crouched, bringing one pale knee to the rough ground, the other curling against the trunk of her body.
Those once sparkling, bouncing pink eyes were now in slits, shifting around to find the source of the sound and- wait! What's this? A figure? Oh no! No where to run, no where to hide. She waited, eyes wide, body tensed; the figure was dark and drawing closer.without a proper headband, one could not be identified, but could she still get into trouble? Teeth latched onto the lower lip of the child, worrying coming to her innocent face. Perhaps they were friendly? Though there wasn't many that lurked in dense mists that happened to be such.

As he spoke, he had come to hear a sound that seemed to echo through the back of his head, lately. The male's lavender colored eyes shifted this way and that so that they could take in the details of the surrounding area. He was out of the misty, so he had nothing to worry about, not that he did, for he lived in the mist, and, some might just say he owned it pretty well. The male's right digits slowly tapped at the base of his pocket, as if trying to give away his position, but no sound came out of it. Perfect, he thought. This was good...Obviously, his destiny was not to be revealed so suddenly, or so he thought. A simple step forward would bring him to the clopping sound once more. His head tilted slightly towards the right and he sucked in a deep breath of air through his nose.
For a moment, the air around him had smelled stale...as if it had been tainted by some foreign source, clearly something was out of place in this picture. The Mizukage quietly nodded his head and grinned silently to himself. His left hand slowly lifted up into the air and he whispered something that shall forever go unheard. By this time, he'd drop his left hand, followed by the butt of Khakkhara, which thudded against the ground before he lifted it up again.
Why? Why did he do it? Simply to give away his position. The male was curious as to what was out there, though he had something in his mind; however, he would find more pleasure in seeing with his own eyes...And so, he did. The lavender eyes with its ripple-like pattern had scanned the land until it had come upon a source that it had not once laid eyes upon before.
The male had come to shift his head, wondering if someone had been trying to hide who they were or if they had really been as low as they had appeared to be. Either way, the male found no real threat coming from them, as of yet. Feeling a bit of disappointment wash over him, he begun to march forward, making sure to keep each of his footfalls as silent as the last. It wouldn't take him long to come more into view, either, revealing the full black color of his cloak as well as the clothing that could be seen beneath it from the movements he had been making. And, by this time, it would be clear who he was, so many would assume, though few had actually seen the male's face.
Of course, he would not speak out first, wishing to see what this person had been planning. This, of course, could prove to be a detriment to his life, but, at this moment, he figured he had not much to lose, so, why not rides this thing out to the fullest? Slowly, his right hand moved between the part of the cloak that surrounded him, and he pressed his fingers against the bark of the tree closer to him. His index finger slowly lifted and dropped against the bark...Tap...Tap...Tap. The sound seemed to grow louder each time it connected.

Thumping, tapping, both noises louder in the ears of the child than they truly were, but that could be blamed on her heightened senses due to adrenaline. Tha-thump Tha-thump Tha-thump... Such a loud noise her rapid heart beats made in her ears. Could this figure hear it too? No, how silly! It was nearing even further now. Gasp! The sudden intake of air from her gaping mouth startled her into twitching oddly in a manner that caused her to fall onto her rump again.
She had to be silent! Tap Tap Tap... What is that? It is faint, but increasing in volume. Was this an intimidation ploy? Should she ignore it? No! What a silly question she should not ask even herself. The closer now figure was quite large, easily giving her the feeling and want to flee. Clop Clop.. To her feet again; this was better. The black figure that still loomed too far away to increase her anxiety had stopped moving, yet was still tapping. How disturbing sounds became when blind. Her legs felt numb to her as she lifted each one slowly, feeling as if a lead weight were on them, and placed them back behind herself as quietly as she could.
She felt it-- another twig! Too late to stop. Snap! How does such a sound grow louder from before? Frozen again, no point in moving; where would she go anyway? Run? She would only fall. She tried to back up again, but her own appendages failed her, sending her falling again. She yelped sharply in surprise, shock and even fear, her hands flying up to cover the traitorous cavity that emitted such a sound. Silence. Her back ached now, having not caught herself in her clumsy fall caused consequences. She didn't move now, not trusting her own body to respond. Pink eyes peered upwards, wide and panicked, seeing only the gray of the fog-- waiting.

The approaching figure would come to a slow halt, having heard the slight commotion in the distance. He'd part his lips, releasing a soft chuckle, which rippled through the air like black ink stained a pool. For a moment, the figure would stand there, as if it had been in the process of planning something, and, indeed, it had been. Without a thought, the figure took off in a light sprint, allowing its footfalls to thud against the ground, far louder than he had intended....
However, when the figure had come within thirty feet of the foreign signature, it turned and suddenly 'leapt' forward. There would be a sudden 'whooshing' sound, followed by nothing but silence as the figure begun to focus chakra to the soles of his footing so that he could stand on one of the tree's faces. From there, Khakkhara would rattle again, its rings slapping against the spine and one another, giving away his position, which, at this time, was above the signature.
Snickering softly, the figure then pushed off the tree in order to silently land into another, and then another until he was able to get behind the signature that had awaited his presence this long length of time. Slowly, he approached and thudded the butt of Khakkhara against the ground beneath him, just as his footing fell against the earth once more. He'd say, in a low tone, and from behind the signature, "What is it you are doing here?"
A closer look would bring him to the realization that he had not set his gaze upon this one from before; however, he did not have much of a clear look, at this time, and would hold off on his next question, for he wished to see how this person was to come and respond to him, especially if they noticed who he was, not that ranking and title mattered. From there, he could feel the power of his beast from the center of his stomach...Perhaps this was a warning of the sorts? Not to fear the one before him, but to not take any drastic steps forward, after all, choices would come into question followed by the heaviest or lightest of consequences. [/i] [/color]

Laughing... Was he laughing at her? The girl's eyebrows knitted together in distaste at that. Her temper was flaring, no doubt. She slowly rose up into a siting position. Pop! Her back released a noise, but it felt good; it relieved the pain she had for one soothing moment. Her eyes scanned the mist.. Thud Thud Thud... But her ears caught the position of the "it" hiding in this mist, propelling her to look towards the origin of the footfall. It was coming closer! What to do? Instinct had her shutting her eyes, tensing the muscles in her body for some sort of impact, though she knew better than to close her eyes.
Clang Clang... That noise again from before! Where was it? Slowly, pink eyes were once more gazing out into the dark fog that surrounded them, but the tall figure was t there anymore. Where had it gone? She shifted her eyes about, but did not move he head; the "it" was still unseen for now. Thud... The noise came from behind? It must be behind her! That voice rang out into the silence of the mist, having the girl jump and let out a light squeal in surprise. What had it ask? It had a voice? So it was human! Oh, that was even more terrifying... She rolled her body to the right and up onto her hands and knees to peer at the person, who sounded like a man.
She was silent for a moment, quivering in fright, which she took no notice of. Curious, that's what she was. Is this man playing with her? Is that why he continued to go unseen? Clop Clop Clop... The child stumbled shakily rose to her feet, arms rising to her chest vertically as they shook. Her own voice took form, it being quiet and shaky, soft even."P... Playing, Sir?" She was unsure whether it was really a man or if perhaps it was a manly sounding woman. The child still found no real will to run away from the area, but she would probably be caught anyway.

{ What was this person doing? } It had been a thought he found himself asking a lot lately, but not as much as he felt the need to ask it now. The frame shifted, as if fear had ruled its smaller frame...Then, it found itself onto its hands and knees? Surly, this person was truly afraid or acting out the steps perfectly, for he had not showed any reason for him to be feared. The lavender eyes slowly lowered down to take in the appearance of the one who 'stood' below the height of the Mizukage.
Of course, the sound had returned to him...Clop Clop Clop...Was this thing making the sound he had heard on his walk? A closer look would make his hidden brown furrow as he chuckled lowly again, the sound shivering its way through the air eerily as he pressed his lips together for a moment. What was he to do? What was it that had this one so shaken with fear?
And then, the words the one before him had spoken made his lavender colored eyes widen slightly in the dark - its ripple-like glow shimmering brightly within the darkness that had come to wrap around his face like a permanent mask. Was this a girl? Surly, he could not kill her...Why? The male had a thing against killing women...especially those who were not old enough to do battle, and, from the signature of chakra and the way she handed the situation, she had clearly not been ready to stand against the trails that death could place before the both of them.
So, the Man of Dark had slid his footing against the ground, only so that he may balance his weight between both of his feet. When they had been evenly distributed, he said to Gyūki, "Well, this is not what I expected to find on this day...Here I was thinking there would be someone a little...taller?"The male did not expect a reply from his old friend. Ah well! Akio had not been searching for a fight, but something that had been interesting...And, of course, he had indeed found something that was interesting. A child, it seemed that he had never before laid his eyes upon. He said, lately, "You are out here, playing? Do you not know how dangerous that is? How dangerous that could be? Where are your parents?" Of course, these had been questions any Kage would most likely ask to the villagers they had cared about and this man...this creature surly did care about his villagers.

What to do; to even say? Running into a stranger that was obviously much bigger than the child was not something she had planned on. No one came out here this time of day, so why was he? Those pink eyes were adjusting, trying to see more clearly, but the darker the day grew, the thicker the fog. Surely neither would be able to see if this kept up! That wasn't good for the girl... Finding her way wasn't the problem, but being in the dark was unpleasant, especially in an area he didn't visit frequently.
He was scolding her now? Just who did he think he was! Of course she knew the danger, the possibilities of trouble, but that was why she spent her days making sure no one was around before enjoying herself. That little firefly from earlier flashed in her view suddenly, lighting up her pale face and blinding her for a moment; what a bright little bug. Swiftly she reached out and gently grasped the insect in her hands, leaving the man's questions unanswered for the moment and throwing the area into darkness again. A giggle expelled from pink lips as the child watched the bug flash again within its confines. The child brought her hands to her chest, smiling down to the little bug flashing in her hands.
After thinking about it, the smile faded and she took a hesitant step forward, holding her hands out again,"I was just catching fireflies, Mister. My momma and daddy are at home." The child acted as if she no longer feared the man, but that would've been the wrong assumption. Perhaps she was just stupid? No, she had reason to act braver than before. What person that wished to harm you would ask where your parents were and if you realized how dangerous the area was?
"What's your name?", she quietly asked, almost whispered, yet she smiled still, now seeming unafraid, but it was a face. The child still trembled slightly at the ordeal, nervously playing with the rose colored sash from her kimono while she waited for an answer or something to occur.

The male's dark gloved fingers curled tightly around the base of his weapon before he turned his gaze downward to take in the appearance of the one who remained before him, only to have noticed that the 'child' held pink eyes. He tilted his head a little--as he normally does when deep in thought and staring--and pressed his full lips together.
From there, he would shift his lavender colored eyes in order to keep track of the movements that she took. From the moment her face lit up, his head turned back to normal and lifted his second brow a bit to match the height of the one he had previously lifted in question. As she reached out to grasp the creature, his footing slowly relaxed against the soil that had been beneath him, having forgotten, for a moment, that she had not yet replied to his question. When he noticed the trap she had set for the creature, he chuckled, this time, deep within his own being, sending vibrations through his full person.
Shortly after she had smiled down at the creature and answered his question, he dipped his head into an understanding nod, though he could not help but ask, "And why is it you are out here? Surly not after that...creature." A pause...Simply added for the added affect, almost as if he had hated such creature; however, the tone in his voice changed slightly, which gave away the face that he had been rather interested in the child's interactions with said bug. "Shall you kill it or set it free?" It was a question that anyone could answer, and her response, could change the destiny of this conversation.
And then it happened...She asked him for his name. Was he to give it to her? She was nothing but a child? Could she keep it to herself? Could he put a burden upon her shoulder, giving her an answer to a question that so few would know? Perhaps she would be in danger if one had found out? Well, the man was not going to take the chance, this time. He responded, in a low tone, with, "They call me The Dark One."

The man's laugh calmed her some; so he wasn't a bad as he first appeared. She smiled wider, having forgotten the small life in her hands until it flashed at her again, gaining her attention once more. The little lightening bug intrigued her for reasons not quite known, but she didn't know any other bug that could flash from its thorax. It was tickling her left hand on her pointer finger now, causing her to giggle again, but it quieted very quickly when she heard the man speak, gaining her attention in a hurry.
She seemed bewildered as to why he would ask such a question. Her white eyebrows furrowed in question and a tilt of the head was presented. "I was chasing them, though, Sir! It's a game... Like Hide and Seek. Except you just Seek." , she stated, grinning until the man's next question. She frowned and shook her head, opening her hands to let the little bug crawl to the edge of one of her tiny fingers and fly off, lighting up the just as he went.
"The little firefly didn't do anything to me, Mister." , came her sharp reply with a quick crossing of her arms. Why would someone kill something that didn't hurt them or their family? Or at least pester and prod at them. The bullies at school did that to her a lot, but why take it out on a harmless little insect? When she asks his name, she didn't expect the pause she received, and would've taken it back had she known of the response she would get.
"The Dark One? Your momma wouldn't name you that!, she stated in shock, thoroughly convinced that was his real name for a moment. Her nose wrinkled along with her forehead in contemplation on this. He was very tall and scary, and he wore all black... But why would his mother name him that? Was he dark skinned? Was his hair dark? This made the child quite flustered and confused. Clop Clop Clop.. Her footsteps moved towards the man in quick secession until she were very few feet away, yet she dared no further. Her hurried form soon produced a question, "Is that your real name, Mister?" She whispered as if it were a great secret that she was sharing.
Her eyebrows were furrowed again, her eyes were wide and filled with wonder, an her body had stopped shaking. She was purely intrigued, no longer scared. Child-like innocence and wonder sometimes led to danger, but today she believed to have found something worth chasing after besides the little hugs that roamed the area and flashed at you.

There was a rolling of his shoulders when he noticed the smile on her features grow a bit wider, and, when she turned her attention towards the bug in her hand, he lifted his brow slightly at the sound of her giggle and slightly shifted his footing so that he had forced most of his weight to his right foot, which slowly sunk into the soil beneath the sandal that had covered his footing. He shook his head and pushed a thought, which would go unmentioned, away.
From there, the man took in the fact that she had seemed bewildered and shrugged his shoulders slightly. For a moment, he had corrected the posture once more, only to have stood erect before the child. She was chasing them? A game of hide and seek? How interesting... {Hide and Seek, eh? I wonder where she came from...I suppose I shall get her back to her parents, I'm sure they are looking for her. } That, being said in his head, mad him snap his full attention onto the surrounding area. His lavender eyes slowly begun to move over the land, soon rising up to stare in the direction of the sky, only to have fallen back down towards the ground that stood before him. In doing this, he would notice the frown, which had been followed by the shaking of her head, and then her voice hit him.
~The little firefly didn't do anything to me, Mister~
Ah, such an innocent voice. Perhaps he should have known what it was she would have chosen before he had fixed his mouth to ask such a little one a question of such; however, he was curious as to what her response would be, and supposes that is what drove him to ask said question. Shrugging the thought away, he mimicked the motion of her arms and dipped his right hand down into his pocket so that the tips of his digits could move against the fabric of his clothing.
When she asked about his name, and then stated that his mother had not named him that, he chuckled again and said, "You've some smarts on you, " and that was all that he had said to that...The male thought about turning and heading towards the village, but he had noticed the girl approaching him in a quick movement. { Hm? What is she planning? I don't suppose... } His thoughts would trail off when she stopped a few feet away from him, and, he said to himself {Ah; I had a feeling she wouldn't.}
When she whispered to him, his head shook and he said, "Of course it is not." The male smiled, though it was hidden behind the darkness that had covered every inch of his face. "It is nothing more than a title, which can be considered a name, or a placeholder for the name. It is something I do not mind going by...Not saying it is better than my real name in any way." The male's voice was low and deep, far closer to his real one than most others he used in the past. "It is rather dangerous to know something very few do." A small laugh would erupt from the male's lips and he would turn his head down towards her once more. "What is your name?"

At the compliment, the child's cheeks turned a cherry red color, causing he to almost beam at it, but her brother always said compliments from strangers were probably lies, because they don't know you. Her smile faded, and she gave him a mumbled reply,"Thank you.. Mister, but it isn't true."Crunch Crunch... Her little foot had started twisting and scuffing on loose rubble, getting her attention for a few moments as her head bowed. She had manners, of course, but she always went by what her older either used to tell her before he went away; perhaps she was naive.
At the mention of his name, the girl looked up, no longer bashful or ashamed of the compliment she had received before. Instead, he lips formed a straight line and she cocked her head to the side, "Are you hiding from someone? My brother says that people who keep their name a secret have something or someone to hide from." She was whispering again, allowing herself to move a few inches closer so the man could hear her. The child peered about in the fog as if looking for something, and she was. She wanted to see of someone was following the poor man, yet she had forgotten about the fog that surrounded them and was unable to see much.
When he asked her name, her head snapped towards him, eyes somewhat wider than before. She gave it thought, but ended up shaking her head and giving a slight pout."Mister, you never told me your name! Do I really have to tell you mine if I don't know yours?", she asked, biting her lower lip a bit. She didn't want to say no to the nice man, but she wanted to know his name too if she had to share her name. She would probably end up telling him despite this thought, but she really wanted to know who he was.

A swift shifting of his stance would make his heart thud against his chest once or twice, allowing the calming breath to vibrate through his person, something that seemed to happen to him a few times...Though, it felt loud enough for those around him to hear, it often was not, for the echo's only took place within the male's mind. The male blinks, and, by the time he opens his eyes again, he notices the quick cherry red color that comes to stain the girl's features and goes to smile, but stops himself, for he noticed the smile soon fading, and then the murmured comment that made him shake his head. "There is no need to mumble, I assure you it is just you and I here." You and I? Was that the truth? Aye, in a way it had been, should one not count Gyūki, which he did not, for he saw the both of them as a single being, yet he knew there was a difference and that he and Gyūki had held onto their own emotions and beliefs, which would be one of the few things that could prove them apart.
When he notice the sudden change in her attitude, he blinked--something that had become a normal response for him when he did not expect something's--and watched her head tilt before him. What was she going to say next? Oh...That's what it was... The words seemed to flow into his head and echo through his ears swiftly. The male furrowed his hidden brows and said, "No; it isn't like that. You see, to have the name of someone is to have power of them. I do not live in fear, nor do I live in denial. In the long run, one much chooses who they befriend and who they stand again. I choose my friends wisely, I suppose..." He shrugged his shoulders and pressed his lips back together.
He had a feeling the conversation was not going to end there, especially since he had asked what her name had been. And, when she answered, he had figured it was going to come down to that, though the way he had worded it had been a little different than what she had responded. By the time she had finished asking her question, he shook his head and said, "Of course you don't have to give me your name. It is not like I am going to force you into anything. " The male's digits slowly moved along the base of Khakkhara, and his left hand, which gripped said staff, lifted up into the air and he placed its base on his shoulder." I suppose we shall be getting you home then? Shall we head off?"
Of course, Gyūki would normally come to speak, but, only silence had come from him, which made Akio think that the beast had already figured out what the male was planning, and that he had to be aware that the child could have possibly not been from his village, for she had not known him by his clothing. Even so, how could she have ended up all the way out here?

The small child nodded to the man's explanation on his lack of giving out his name, though she still wished to know it; her own curiosity perhaps. Then she nodded once more to him saying she didn't have to share her name. "I'm Miyuki.", she chirped, apparently deciding that answer was satisfactory and giving her own name as something of a reward.
Her left hand was suddenly out before her, fingers straight an thumb almost vertical, "It's very nice to meet you, Mister.", she said while offering her hand to the man. Sure, not the brightest idea, but she was giving him credit; he hadn't tried killing her yet, so why shy away from being polite? It seemed she had taken his words to heart by offering her name. She was choosing to befriend him, even though that would not be returned.
She placed her other hand behind her back, standing perfectly erect in posture. When mention of returning home reached her ears, it echoed within her head for some time before she responded, shaking her head. "Never take a stranger home.", came her brother's voice to her now, reminding her that this was indeed a stranger, likely from the village nearby, that was against her own village.
Miyuki was a bright child, a very bright child, one who caught onto things faster than any other thirteen year old she knew. She knew the day after war broke out between the smaller and larger villages, though that came partial from her love of eavesdropping. She spoke after shaking her head and bringing her raised hand back down, "I can get home on my own." She knew far too well that leading someone home, even if it was dark, could be bad news.
Clop Clop Clop.... She started moving away now, twisting her torso and raising her right arm, flicking her fingers in a wave, "Bye, Mister. I'll be careful!"

The nod at his explanation would cause him to smile, again, as he knew she understood what he meant when he said what he said. Then, there was a second nod, which made him think about something he had said...It had taken him a bit to put back the pieces of what he said, only to have heard the child's name, Miyuki.
Miyuki...
The name flashed within the male's mind, only to have burned itself into The Dark One's skull as he narrowed his lavender orbs onto her small frame. Why? He was simply placing a face to the name, and vice versa. The male would never forget a name once these two things had been moved into place. After a few moments, he lowered his eyes down towards the hand that had come out before her. Ah, he knew it! She was not as innocent as she had seemed, or was she? His eyes met the straightened hand and then the out of placed thumb, which pointed towards the heaven. What was this? She trusted him? He shook his head, thinking his words just went right past her; however, he felt something more come from this.
It didn't take long for him to push back the newly found thought, so that he could lift his black gloved right hand, which slowly moved forward. The palm of his hand moved to press against hers, while his slim digits slowly moved to tighten around the base of her hand and his thumb pressed down on top of her hand for a simple moment. When he had completed the shake, he tugged his hand away, gently, of course, and then dropped it back down towards his side, idly. He nods his head and says, "That is fine, but head straight home." Of course, he would gladly make sure she had gotten home safely, but he had other matters to attend to elsewhere, which is why he had not given an offer to follow the girl, himself.
In the end of it all, the male would watch the girl's departing frame, only to have shaken his head. He slowly moved the staff back down so that its butt hovered above the ground as he slowly made his way in a direction that only he understood well enough.
Gyūki said [ Are you just going to let her go? ] Akio would reply { Of course I am just going to let her go. We've other matters to attend to, and, we'll find out where she belongs... After all, I know what she looks like and, what I believe is her name." He chuckled and shook his head. } [ If you believe so, but do not count your options out, Akio. ] The male simply nodded his head and said{ This will be interesting, my friend. }
